One of the largest attractions on the Big Island of Hawaii is the active volcano.  Although it has been active for years, the Big Island is seeing the most activity in years.

The activity is expected to continue into the month of May.  You can see the flow best by helicopter, but is is also easily accessible by a short hike.  If you do choose to make the hike and see the volcano up close, be sure to follow all safety measures.
